WHAT TO EXPECT
Before your appointment:
You'll need to pause a few habits that thin the blood or affect healing - caffeine, alcohol, certain supplements, sun exposure, and specific skincare actives. Full detail is in the pre-care instructions, & I'll also send you a detailed reminder email in the days before your appointment, so you won't need to memorize it all.
During your appointment:
We'll start with a consultation and drawing directly on your brows so you can see and approve the shape before anything is tattooed. A topical numbing agent is used before we begin, and again during the procedure for comfort.
After your appointment:
Your brows will look noticeably darker for the first few days. This is normal and expected. Around the one-week mark, the skin begins to regenerate and shed, and your brows will start to lighten toward their true healed color. Full details and a visual healing timeline are in the aftercare instructions.
- Touch-ups:
A touch-up 6-8 weeks after your first appointment is required so that I can build the color and shape to its full, lasting vibrancy. This touchup is not included in your initial appointment cost. Separate appointment, separate cost. - After that, most clients return every 6-24 months depending on skin type and lifestyle.
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE?
The eyebrow tattooing services I provide are luxury services that are high in demand, but unfortunately, not everyone is a good candidate.
You'll be a good candidate if:
- You're 18 or older
- The skin in and around your eyebrows is free of active acne
- Your skin doesn't have significant wrinkling in the brow area (more mature, thinner skin tends to hold pigment differently - if this applies to you, Powder Brows is usually the better-suited option, and that's a conversation we can have together)
- You're able to fully follow pre-care and aftercare instructions
- You understand results build over 2 appointments (initial + touch-up), not just one
A few health-related situations mean I'm not able to accept you as a client (unless noted otherwise): diabetes without physician clearance, autoimmune conditions, high blood pressure/heart conditions without physician clearance, blood-thinning medications, upcoming surgery, keloid/scarring tendency, Accutane use in the last year, actively pursuing treatments like chemo/radiation/dialysis, or allergies to lidocaine/epinephrine/stainless steel.
PREVIOUS PMU/BROW TATTOO?
If you've had microblading, powder brows, or any prior eyebrow PMU or tattooing - even from years ago from another artist - I'll need to see photos and approve the area before you book. Not all previous work can be safely tattooed over, and this step protects both of us from a wasted appointment.
How to submit photos for approval: see instructions at the bottom of this page.
Don't skip this step. If you arrive to your appointment with unapproved previous work, you will be sent home for not following the instructions and the deposit you paid is non-refundable.
BOOKING, DEPOSITS, & RESCHEDULES
A non-refundable deposit is required to book your appointment slot, and it's applied toward your total cost. The remaining balance is due at the end of your appointment.
Need to reschedule? You get one reschedule, penalty-free, as long as it's submitted through the online booking system more than 24 hours before your appointment. This has to go through the booking system itself - not a text or email - so it's tracked properly and honored consistently for every client.
If a reschedule request comes in after that window, or if it's a second reschedule for the same appointment, your non-refundable deposit is forfeited. A new deposit is required to book a brand new appointment. This policy exists to keep the calendar fair for everyone waiting for a slot - appreciate your understanding here.

MORE QUESTIONS
Why don't I see any appointments available on your calendar?
If you're not seeing anything available, it is because I am fully booked.
The calendar opens up for online booking only one month in advance.
My online calendar opens up every 1st of the month at 10a Pacific Time for the following month.
EXAMPLE
- January appointments open up for booking on 12/1 @ 10AM
- February appointments open up for booking on 1/1 @ 10AM
..and so forth.
Appointments are first come, first serve.
My calendar fills up very fast, so if you want dibs on an appointment, I would recommend setting an alarm for the 1st of the month at 10am to ensure that:
- 1: you have first selection on availablity, &
- 2: you're able to secure an appointment before they sell out
How do I request a FREE consultation?
I do not provide free in-person consultation appointments, because a full consultation (including drawing on your actual eyebrows/skin) is completed in the first hour of a booked appointment as a new client.
In lieu of this, I am happy to do a free consultation and drawing for you by email! Seeing my vision for your new eyebrows will tremendously alleviate any anxiety around having your eyebrows tattooed.
I’ll draw my best recommendation(s) and style(s) for your new brows on a photo that you send me, and I’ll explain my reasonings for the drawing(s) to complete your free consultation and drawing via email 💞
Scroll down to the bottom of this page for instructions on how to submit photos for your free consultation.

How long will my tattooed eyebrows last?
Usually, results will last for 1-4 years although there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer to this question since everyone will retain pigment in their skin differently due to lifestyle, environment, skin type, etc. Touchups are highly recommended to keep your brows looking fresh.
How often do I need to come in for touchups?
The services I provide are all a process of layering pigment into a VERY shallow layer of the skin.
An initial touchup 6-8 weeks after your first appointment is required in order to build the density of color and vibrance in that same, shallow layer of the skin. This way, the built up color will hold you over for a full year or more.
After your first touchup, I will let you know how often you should be coming back in for touchups. The reason this is dictated during your first touchup appointment is because I need to see how your skin retained the pigment from your first appointment. Your healed results will be factored in with your skin type and lifestyle, and your next touchup timeframe will be based off of all of the above.
It is best to space your touchup appointments out as far apart from each other as possible. The ink needs ample amount of time to fade out before coming in for a touchup for optimal results.
Less touchups = better longevity.
When you book an appointment as a new client, you sign off on understanding and agreeing to our Cancellation & Reschedue Policy as well as our Terms & Policies Agreement. As indicated in our Terms & Policies Agreement:
“I understand that if I do not attend the required touchup appointments within the required touchup time frames (6-8 weeks refinement session from my initial microblading appointment, and every 6-24 months thereafter for maintenance), that I will be reset to a new client and will incur new client fees should I choose to book another appointment. I understand that there are zero exceptions to these rules.”
Do you take walk-in appointments?
No. By appointment only, always has been.
Do you do in-home visits?
No. California requires body art services to be performed at a licensed, permitted facility. My studio at 8 Crow Canyon Court, Suite 105, San Ramon, CA is that location.
How much experience do you have?
Trained as a makeup artist starting in 2007 (MAC Cosmetics). Specializing in PMU since 2017, teaching fellow PMU artists since 2019.
- +1,000 clients served
- hundreds of local and international students
